Agriculture Marketing and Agri-tourism Specialist. The Montgomery County
Ag Marketing Committee, in conjunction with regional farmers, added
value farming ventures and agri-tourism enterprises, is looking for an
experienced professional with a minimum of five years of field
experience in the agriculture/agri-tourism industry, who holds a
bachelor's degree in agricultural business/economic/tourism, or can
demonstrate the equivalent with a proven track record in business sales,
consultive selling and marketing of agriproduct/services and agri-tourism
industry. Prior business ownership or entrepreneurship is a plus. The
primary job functions will be: to create new customers, buying groups
and markets beyond county and regional lines, to enhance and network
with the marketing/selling systems in the region, to return more dollars
directly to farm families, to educate farm families in developing and
understanding marketing/selling/tourism strategies, to strengthen the
agri-economy of the county and region, to facilitate agri-tourism
initiatives in the region We offer a competitive compensation
